Yay! I've finally got all this up and running! Roo.emu.id.au is a dedicated web server/firewall machine.

I splurged roughly $300 on a 486 DX2/50, 1G drive, ethernet card and modem. Then add $500 for a dedicated internet connection and I've got my own ROONET lan on the internet permanently!

In Australia, that's excellent value.

I chose LINUX for the OS because it's fast, stable and has free software for web serving, databases and firewalling.
